Various power supplies are available, detailed as follows.

Power Supply Model DBU

A high quality power supply for driving the 12V version of Digitac 1M12 (see page 7) or K50 units (page 10).A 240V 50Hz input will provide a smooth regulated output of 13.8V dc at 1A maximum. Stand-by supply can be obtained by fitting a 12V, rechargeable battery fitted Model NP2.8-12 within the unit which is continuously charged by the DBU.

Indications on Front Panel:-

Green LED - Mains supply ON

Red LED - Low battery voltage Alarms

Audible alarm (mute facility) - Loss of mains supply

Stand-by Power Supply - Model BBU

A stand-by facility for the operation of Digitac MP1. Designed to have and internal 12V, rechargeable battery fitted within the unit, which is supplied and charged directly by the MP1 controller select Model NP2.8-12 or NP6-12.

Indications on Front Panel:-

Green LED - Mains supply ON

Red LED - Low battery voltage

Power Supply - Model TPSUK

An auxiliary power supply for a heavy duty lock. The selectable drive output will deliver 12V/24V dc at 3A continuous (4A surge) from an input of 240V 50Hz.The duration of the output supply may be adjusted internally between 1 and 15 seconds. The output supply is enabled by a Normally Open volt free contact which may be a controller lock output or an exit button. Suitable for controllers 1M, 4M, MP1, K50 or K50S.

Power Supply - Model 1381NS

A good quality economy power supply suitable for use with Models 1M12, CD-6S, K50 and K50S. A 240V 50Hz input will provide a regulated output of 13.8V dc at 1A maximum. Standby supply can be obtained by fitting a 12V, 2.8Ah nominal rechargeable battery. A tamper switch is provided on the unit. A derivative is the 1381LM/T which offers a 2-20s timed output.

Indications on Front Panel:-

Green LED - Mains supply ON

Red LED - Output supply failure

Power Supply - Model 832/030

A compact power supply suitable for use with Models K50 and K50S. A 220V 50/60Hz input will provide a regulated output of 12V ac nominal at 1.5A. Suitable for screw fixing or DIN rail mounting. Output is protected by a thermal overload device.

Safety Notice No. N2111

Please note that although the earth terminal on a 240V switch mode power supply should always be connected to the earth terminal in any metal enclosure in which is may be mounted, and thereby to a general earth connection, it is still possible to sustain a mild electric shock in the region of 95v at 170µA from the OV terminal of the power supply if it is not also connected to earth. Although this would not normally be regarded as more than uncomfortable, it could be extremely dangerous if it was sustained by an operative either working up a ladder or with a heart condition. We recommend, therefore, that unless there are good technical reasons for not doing so the OV terminal should always be connected to earth.

This is also important for technical reasons in order to ensure stability throughout any system or network utilizing this type of power supply.
